Peter Van Staveren started Stayner Water Services in 2021 - but our story starts long before then!

Dority Farm Service
In 1955 Elmer and Irene Dority opened Dority Farm Services, selling farm equipment. Elmer also sold and serviced well water pumps through the business.
Stayner Rental Limited
In 1989, Paul Van Staveren, a city kid with a heart for the country, decided to move north to open an equipment rental business. Through conversation, Elmer convinced Paul to take on his pump business and add it to the rental business. From there, with Elmer on his side for training, Stayner Rental was born. For over 30 years, Paul continued his work with water pumps and water systems, alongside the rental business.
Stayner Water Services
In 2021, Paul’s son, Peter, started Stayner Water Services to continue the water pump sales and service division of Stayner Rental. Growing up in the family business, from playing with plastic pipe fittings as a baby, to holding the flashlight and tools for Dad on pump jobs, to eventually apprenticing under Paul to get his well contractors license, you could say Peter grew up with the business. Today, he brings generations of knowledge, technical education, and modern technology to well water systems. Peter is proud to continue the legacy of providing Stayner and area with clean, safe, drinking water. And you might even catch Elmer’s grandson, Steve, on the jobsite with Peter!
